...This time of year has been my favorite for as long as I can remember. Our Wedding Anniversary is October and most of our vacations are spent during this season. What do you think of when Autumn begins? My thoughts rush to the beginning of cool nights. Colors of the leaves decorating the outdoors as far as your eyes can see with their brilliance. Pumpkins, apples, fresh Pies, Soups, Gingerbread with warm tapioca cream. Children helping Mom and Dad raking the leaves then making hills to dive into. Hayrides, hiking trails, campfires for cooking hotdogs followed by smores. Singing your favorite hymns with your family & friends while gathered around watching as the fire starts to die down. Ending a perfect night. Below is a poem my sister, Debbie Curtis wrote about the harvest season. This poem says what I feel about the harvest and so I thought it was Perfect for this post! I will also be posting some of her Yummy recipes very soon! Thank you Debbie for sharing !!

HARVEST BLESSINGS
Pumpkins, apples, corn stalks, and gourds
hayrides, cider, and bonfires with smores
Families all gather with thankful hearts
Yet another fall season is ready to start
Falling leaves gold, orange and brown
slowly but surely float to the ground
Cool nights with moon so bright
stars in the sky twinkle their light
Thanksgivings approaching
God's blessings to share
so make room at your table
and show someone you care
Remember as Christians our
witness to bare
yields lives that are changed
because of our prayers
